On August 18, 2022, Skyline Industrial REIT sold a single-tenant office building located at 3600-3610 Rhodes Drive, Windsor, Ontario. The building totals 56,995 square feet of commercial space on 4.68 acres.
“Skyline Industrial REIT continues to successfully complete its non-core disposition program,” said Mike Bonneveld, President, Skyline Industrial REIT.
“The sale of 3600 Rhodes Drive in Windsor, one of only two remaining office properties in the portfolio, furthers the REIT’s focus on modern industrial and warehousing assets. The capital from this sale will be redeployed back into enhancing and elevating the portfolio further by acquiring and developing more modern industrial facilities. We believe this strategy will be incremental to unit value and in turn, add value to tenants and investors.”
Post-disposition, Skyline Industrial REIT comprises 53 properties in 32 communities in 5 provinces across Canada, with a total of 6,606,304 square feet of commercial space.
Skyline Industrial REIT was previously Skyline Commercial REIT. As a result of the REIT’s increasing focus on modern warehousing and logistics assets, the REIT updated its name to better reflect its portfolio composition and target sector, effective June 14, 2022).
