On July 27, 2021, Skyline Apartment REIT celebrated its 20,000 suite milestone with a special event at a property in Sarnia, Ontario.
The property at 131 Maxwell Street was part of a portfolio in Sarnia and Niagara Falls that was purchased by the REIT in April 2021, bringing the REIT to its 20,000-suite count.
Staff across Skyline Apartment REIT, Skyline Living (the property manager for properties within the REIT), and other parts of Skyline Group of Companies got together for the celebration.
Bill Dennis, Councillor for the City of Sarnia, attended the event and spoke of Skyline’s meaningful presence in the city. Skyline Apartment REIT currently has 1,281 suites in Sarnia.
As part of the celebration, the REIT also presented a $5,000 donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton.
“We’ve found great integration among our management teams, which has allowed Skyline Apartment REIT to achieve 20,000 suites,” said Matthew Organ, President, Skyline Apartment REIT.
“This teamwork will be a key component to the REIT pushing on to the next level.”
