Skyline Retail REIT Enters City of Saint-Rémi, Quebec

On April 6, 2021, Skyline Retail REIT purchased a property located at 750-810 Rue Saint-Paul, Saint-Rémi, Quebec (south of Montreal).

The property comprises 62,348 square feet of retail space. It totals 7 tenants and is anchored by IGA (Sobeys) grocery store. Additional tenants include Uniprix pharmacy, and Tim Hortons.

The total purchase price for the property was $18 million.

“Skyline Retail REIT is entering its second new community of 2021 with the purchase of Marché Saint-Rémi,” said Gordon Driedger, President, Skyline Retail REIT.

“Through 2021 so far, we’re continuing to see favourable acquisition opportunities with retail spaces anchored by tenants providing essential services, such as grocery and pharmacy, in high-traffic locations.”

Located in east Saint- Rémi (south of Montreal), this complex is positioned just off Hwy 221 (Boulevard Saint-Rémi) with complementary shopping and restaurants nearby.

Post-acquisition, Skyline Retail REIT comprises 112 properties in 68 communities in five provinces across Canada, with a total of 4,735,473 square feet of retail space.
